Anna C. Ringer Memorial 5K Run/Walk
Sunday -  May 24 at 9 am

This year marks the 4th Annual Anna C. Ringer 5K Trail Run / Walk.  Established in 2005 to celebrate Anna's life, it has become a wonderful tradition of the festival and tribute to Anna.

Originally from Alexandria, Anna attended Highland School in Warrenton, Virginia, as a sophomore in 2004.  After her death on December 21, 2004, the 5K was organized by her friends and family as a way to reunite and remember her joyous spirit.

This is the third year the Washington Regional Transplant Community has come to the 5K to share what Anna knew - that being an organ donor is an important and personal decision.

Anna chose to be a donor when applying for her learner's permit.  You can get information on being a donor today at the WRTC booth.
